What makes my teaching approach different?

My teaching is grounded in real communication. Drawing on my experience as an interpreter, I focus not only on correctness, but also on effective communication tools and strategies. My aim is to help learners communicate with clarity, confidence, and purpose in real situations.

Will we focus more on speaking or grammar?

Both matter, but they serve different roles. Grammar provides structure, while speaking brings language to life. My courses place strong emphasis on oracy skills — the ability to speak clearly, confidently, and appropriately — while ensuring grammatical accuracy supports, rather than blocks, communication.

How are oracy skills developed?

I use structured speaking tasks, guided reflection, and real-life scenarios drawn from professional, institutional, and intercultural contexts. Learners practise explaining, negotiating, presenting, and responding — not just producing correct sentences, but shaping meaning for a specific audience.

Will we use textbooks?

No. Every course is tailored. I adapt content, materials, pace, and objectives to each learner or group, taking into account their goals, background, profession, and learning rhythm. This applies equally to individual learners, families, and institutional clients.

How is progress tracked?

Progress is monitored through clear milestones, practical outcomes, and regular feedback. Rather than relying only on tests, I look at how effectively learners can use language in situations that matter to them.

Are courses taught online?

I offer online courses via Zoom, as well as blended or in-person formats when relevant. Online courses are carefully structured to remain interactive, engaging, and effective.
